The salary range for this position is $36.50 - $58.40 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement follows the union agreement. Benefits

Description Registered Nurse-CVIS Part-Time On‑Call required, approximately 6 shifts per month, including every third weekend. Response time: Report to the hospital within 30 minutes. Staff Nurse Inpatient – Kishwaukee reflects NM’s mission, values and compliance with policies and regulations. The RN performs procedures, uses the nursing process to deliver evidence‑based care, and considers physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental factors. Responsibilities Complete assessments for each patient according to unit guidelines, identifying signs of abuse/neglect. Assess patient/family educational needs, learning preferences, and readiness to learn. Anticipate potential problems related to the patient’s condition and support adjustments. Develop and update nursing plans of care based on assessment and interdisciplinary input; include education and discharge planning. Coordinate communication with physicians and other providers to report pertinent observations. Evaluate patient response to treatment, determine causes of changes, and initiate interventions. Prioritize care needs and readjust priorities as patient status or unit activity changes. Participate in discharge planning; document patient teaching and referrals. Apply Standards of Care with consideration for age‑specific needs and safety; follow OSHA and institutional policies. Identify, implement, and document appropriate age‑specific interventions. Engage patients/families as active participants in care plans and education. Administer medications safely and use medication administration time for education. Manage pain and provide comfort and support to patients and families. Report abuse/neglect per hospital policy. Coordinate care activities with other departments and community agencies. Re‑assess patients per policy and standards of practice. Interpret diagnostics promptly and intervene appropriately. Document treatments, assessments and responses accurately and timely. Communicate status changes to charge nurse, physician and other team members. Evaluate patient and family responses to teaching and adjust plans. Initiate care conferences and revise plans as needed. Evaluate overall quality of nursing care. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS). Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first clinical day.
