About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with All Medical Personnel to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Seattle, Washington, 98110!

Job Title: RN - ICU

Location: Seattle, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type: Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in a combined Medical/Cardiac ICU setting with a patient population consisting of approximately 70% medical patients (sepsis, pneumonia, ARDS, organ failure, DKA, etc.) and 30% cardiology patients (heart failure, post-arrest, arrhythmias, etc.)
Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2 on day shift
Perform continuous telemetry monitoring with proficient interpretation and management of dysrhythmias — a telemetry assessment test is required
Manage ventilated patients and administer conscious sedation within scope of practice
Float to other ICU units and border areas as needed to meet facility staffing needs
Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR (hard-stop charting required) and utilize Pyxis for medication management

Required Qualifications:
Active RN license in Washington State; compact license accepted with applicable requirements — no pending licenses accepted
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management — a pass/fail telemetry test will be administered
Proficiency with ventilator management and conscious sedation
Epic EMR experience required
Must be available to work all scheduled shifts; scheduling requests outside of approved time off cannot be accommodated, including the period of 7/3–7/7
Local candidates are welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills:
IV insertion proficiency
Experience with intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring and pulmonary artery (PA) lines
Level I trauma experience
Experienced travel nurse background preferred; first-time travelers with strong ICU experience may be considered
