Aligned with our Cudahy, WI location, you will be responsible for providing commissioning, troubleshooting, and helping our customers and contractors maintain our equipment in the field and through phone support. In addition to the responsibilities below, this position requires a highly motivated individual who is driven by process compliance and continuous improvement to effectively serve our customers and equipment.As a Field Service Technician, you will:Carry out commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting of Vilter industrial refrigeration compressors and natural gas compressors equipment mainly in the United States with opportunities to work globally.Coordinate and assist Copeland subcontractors with preventative maintenance and warranty work.Perform technical troubleshooting and problem resolution for customers, with support from Copeland and Vilter Engineering, Parts, and Service personnel.Conduct/participate in technical training for Copeland and Vilter equipmentWork with and assist the Sales and Business Development teams where possibleParticipate in joint sales calls with other Copeland team members when needed.Become a trusted advisor for customer technical inquiries.Required Education, Experience, & Skills:Certificate of qualification EPA 608 Universal Certification or equivalent.Minimum 5 years' experience with Industrial RefrigerationMinimum 5 years' work/field experienceKnowledge/experience with HVACR controlsMicrosoft Office proficiency as applicable for preparing service reports, scheduling appointments, expense reports, etc.Must be able to freely travel between U.S. and CanadaMust be able to lift 70 lbs. (31.8 kg)Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or closely related discipline) preferredWorking knowledge of industrial compressors for refrigeration and/or gas applicationsWorking knowledge of Copeland screw and reciprocating technologies is an assetWorking knowledge of NH3 and Natural Gas is an assetWorking knowledge of CO2 systems is an assetWorking knowledge of discrete electronic controllers is an assetWorking knowledge of voltages from 4-20 mA up to 4140 VoltRemote Work Arrangement:This role is fully remote. As a remote colleague, you may be required to travel to a Copeland site regularly to collaborate with your team or customers as needed. Travel required 80% of the time.Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary/pay range for this role is $85,000-$120,000+ annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
