Biomedical Equipment Technician 1

Entry-level biomedical equipment technician role supporting customer sites in the Appleton, Wisconsin area. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing medical equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and repair customer biomedical equipment under supervision
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety/environmental inspections on medical devices
• Maintain customer communications to ensure issue resolution and satisfaction
• Document all repair actions and submit reports according to schedule
• Manage spares, tools, test equipment, and maintain current technical knowledge of standards and codes

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• High school diploma/GED with 2+ years equipment service experience (electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical)
• Military education or completion of GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship
• Strong analytical and communication skills for explaining technical issues to customers
• Willingness to work after-hours, rotating on-call schedule, and weekends as needed
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs; frequent bending, climbing, reaching, and hand dexterity
