What You’ll Get to Do The Janitor is focused on performing cleaning tasks in a manufacturing environment and ensuring compliance with safety standards.The janitor will report to the department supervisor. This role is perfect for an individual who has a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and good verbal and written communication skills. A vital member of the business, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader. Job responsibilities include: Gather and empty trash both inside and outside the facility. Sweep, mop, and vacuum building floors. Clean restrooms and restock with supplies. Clean and disinfect surfaces that are touched frequently. Wash windows, walls, and glass. Use industrial floor scrubber to clean production floors. Remove debris from sidewalks. Cleanup spills with appropriate equipment. Notify managers of major building repairs. Lock doors to secure buildings once cleaning is complete. Maintain cleaning inventory, notifying department manager when new products and supplies are needed. Work towards continuously improving workplace organization, safety, quality, and productivity, and supports an environment that empowers employees. Uses required personal protective equipment. Other duties as assigned. What We Are Looking For High School Diploma/GED Familiar with KAIVAC No-Touch cleaning system Must be self-motivated to work independently Strong attention to detail Must have good communication skills both verbally and written. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
