What You’ll Do Be a Team Member: Maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of the products; collaborates with cross‑functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicates effectively and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service; and remains flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner. Be an Expert: Understands the processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise (for example, taste, preparation method or use, seasonality); prepares (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards; maintains product safety and follows company sanitation guidelines; and adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them. Be an Owner: Drives the performance of the area; utilizes digital tools; uses perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products; ensures quality and date control standards; eliminates waste; guides peers and provides attention to customer needs; assists customers according to company policies and procedures. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience in the produce area and modeling high‑quality service and products; executes basics at the highest possible level of quality; and exhibits energy, commitment, and passion for the work. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
