Sales Assistant

Position: #621 Sales Assistant Department: Sales Reports To: General Sales Manager Location: WWAY, Wilmington, NC Employment Type: Full-Time Primary Responsibilities Assist Local Account Executives with day-to-day administrative and sales-related needs. Enter, revise, and maintain advertising orders accurately and in a timely manner. Process and coordinate make goods and other schedule adjustments. Assist with resolving order discrepancies, missing information, scheduling issues, and other client/account needs. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to customer orders. Communicate with Account Executives, traffic, programming, and other departments as needed to ensure orders are executed correctly. Assist Account Executives with reports, account information, and sales-related projects. Help monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding items to keep accounts moving efficiently. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in business, communications, media, or a related field is a plus. Previous administrative, customer service, sales support, or broadcast/media experience preferred. Previous experience using Wide Orbit Traffic and Wide Orbit Media Sales preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, email, and other business software. Ability to learn broadcast sales systems and processes quickly.Strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to take initiative. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial and customer information appropriately. Dependable team player who can provide reliable back‑up coverage and step in when needed. Key Success Factors Is highly organized and deadline‑driven. Understands that accuracy in order entry and reporting is critical. Can manage multiple Account Executive requests while maintaining attention to detail. Communicates proactively when information is missing or deadlines may be at risk. Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities. Works well with Account Executives, Sales Management, Traffic, Programming, Finance, and other departments.
