Job Description

Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Wage: $26-$30/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a company in Milwaukee, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity on 1st shift.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly
- Respond to maintenance requests, emergencies, and equipment failures
- Track maintenance activity and keep accurate records of repairs and inspections
- Assist in facility improvement projects and procurement of materials

Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification or vocational training is a plus)
- 5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or facility setting
- Familiarity with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Frequently required to stand, walk and perform manual tasks
- Occasionally required to kneel, stoop, climb, or work at heights or up to 20 feet
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed
