As a new Full Time Operator at Barrett Petfood, you can expect a fast-paced and engaging work environment. Your daily responsibilities will include operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment, ensuring products meet quality standards, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during production. Attention to detail is essential as you’ll be responsible for accurately following recipes and protocols. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety regulations. Collaborating closely with your team, you will participate in problem-solving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, allowing you to immerse yourself in the production process during the night shift. Prepare to adapt to a rhythm that combines teamwork with individual accountability for a fulfilling work experience.Day to day responsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operation of the meat roomTrain staff on proper meat room workflow and sanitation proceduresEnter batch information into Plex Software and manage inventory on a daily basis to ensure product is in stock and accurately countedMix ingredients together and grind blocks of meat into meat grinderAdd oils as needed per customer specificationsUnload frozen meat pallets into freezer for storage using forkliftClean meat room equipment at throughout the day and at the end of runs to ensure sanitation of equipment is up to standardsWork with a team to ensure product is safely processed in a timely mannerPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSProlonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.What matters mostTo thrive as a Full Time Operator at Barrett Petfood, you will need a blend of practical and interpersonal skills.
