Principal Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with strong digital design capabilities and foundational analog experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded system development, schematic and PCB design, and system-level troubleshooting. This role focuses on hardware and low-level embedded development.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in digital design and embedded system development.
• Perform schematic and PCB design, ensuring functionality and efficiency.
• Conduct system-level troubleshooting down to the component level.
• Utilize schematic design tools and instruments such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Run design reviews and produce concepts to prototypes.
• Test board functionality and ensure communication and interface operations are working.
• Build upon previous designs depending on years of experience.
• Participate in low-level embedded development and embedded C programming.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in digital design and embedded system work.
• Experience in PCB design and schematic design tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot systems down to the component level.
• Familiarity with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and Altium Designer.
• Experience in running design reviews and producing concepts to prototypes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in the medical device industry is a plus but not required.

Work Environment:

The work environment is on-site in Santa Clara, Monday to Friday, in a state-of-the-art facility, contributing to innovative electronic product development.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
