The strategy targets category-defining companies operating in large addressable markets with significant long-term compounding potential. The MSGI strategy is under the broader Private Credit & Equity (PC&E) platform with over 300 professionals globally managing approximately $62Bn of client capital across direct private equity and private-credit strategies.Recent investments out of the MSGI strategy have included a leading unified data and AI analytics platform, and a frontier AI research and foundational model company. This is a unique opportunity to join a lean and entrepreneurial team and support the development of the MSGI strategy, working hand-in-hand with senior individuals across the Firm.MSIM is looking for an Associate/Analyst to work directly with senior investors and decision-makers and serve as a key contributor throughout the lifecycle of investing, including the evaluation of investment opportunities, conducting in-depth sector analysis, developing and analyzing financial projections and valuations, and monitoring portfolio companies post investment.Specifically, the team is looking for an Associate/Analyst to help in the following areas:Conduct research on macro themes, investment ideas, and target assetsBuild financial models for company projections and transaction scenariosProduce investment memoranda and support materials on investment opportunitiesCoordinate with advisors and consultants on due diligence itemsMonitor the performance of portfolio companies and interface with management teamsQualifications:2+ years’ previous experience in growth equity, venture capital, private equity or investment bankingExperience : technology coverage or technology experience preferredAbility to work independently and take initiativeAbility to learn quickly and interact well with others, including with counterparts across the Firm in Wealth Management and Investment Banking & Capital MarketsEnthusiasm, self-motivation, and a team player attitudeSuperior level of attention to detailOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsHighly developed interpersonal skillsAbility to handle multiple assignments at once and meet associated deadlines important to successWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
