About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse II, Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: At least one year of Registered Nurse experience within the last 24 months and acute critical experience within the last 12 months, or Emergency Medical Technician and Emergency Department Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience. License: Current license as a Registered Nurse. Certifications: Evidence of current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications. Must-Have: Critical care experience preferred. Description: Client is committed to the safety and well-being of our associates and patients. The role requires a Registered Nurse to demonstrate professionalism and self-development. Candidates must graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Basic computer skills are necessary. Physical demands include frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching above shoulders, sitting, walking inclines and declines, standing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive hand motions. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will occasionally lift, transfer, or push a patient and must demonstrate the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Potential exposure to blood and body fluids is a factor. Employees must adhere to all confidentiality regulations as specified. The role involves handling emergency situations in a prompt, precise, and professional manner. Accurate and continued nursing documentation is essential, including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessments of changes. Candidates must maintain current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the clinical condition of the patient. Meeting documentation and competency requirements as outlined by regulatory agencies is crucial. The role requires the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret it to identify age-specific needs. Candidates should possess the ability to monitor hemodynamic status of patients and interpret results accurately. This position may also require performing head-to-toe assessments on all patients and documenting assessments as per policy. Willingness to perform additional duties and innovations is expected.
