What we’re looking for The Field Technician is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project-specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel in the local region to various projects, specifically New Orleans, LA, with experience in concrete testing, nuclear density testing, and pile logging. Responsibilities Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all-encompassing details. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Two years of Construction Materials Testing experience required Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record High School Diploma or equivalent ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Level 1 Nuclear Density Experience Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed Ability to travel up to 50% of the time Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make discriminations in sound Ability to kneel and squat occasionally Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights Ability to work overnight hours and off shift Preferred Qualifications TWIC Hazmat Intertek: Total Quality.
