Compensation and Benefits:Compensation: Hourly wage, adjusted based on experience.Benefits: Full-time, year-round, benefited position including:Optional company subsidized medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, health savings account, employer paid short term disability & long-term disability offerings401(k) retirement plan (with company match up to 5%)Paid parental leavePaid time off, holiday and sick payFree season pass for employee/dependentsPrivileges at several other resortsSeveral discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, friends & family tickets, etc.)Job Summary:The Events & Sponsorship Supervisor is responsible for planning and executing special events, programming, partner integration and activations at Killington Resort/Pico Mountain.Summary of Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Responsible for the overall planning and execution of events or programsWork with third party organizers, internal departments and events team to create event strategy and drive the planning processLead timely communication of event details and ensure awareness across the resort and with 3rd party organizersResponsible for creating, updating and maintaining project management plans in a project management platform (Trello)Responsible for leading post event evaluations and tracking event and program successSupport operations team (Snowmaking, Grooming, Terrain Parks, Patrol, etc.) to drive successful execution of deliverablesWork in close partnership with the Conference Sales/Lodging team to coordinate successful execution of tasks as required.Work with Events & Sponsorship Manager on idea generation and planning for events, programming and sponsor activations.General policy and safety training – ensure all department staff receive weekly safety training notes; maintain current records for all trainingsResponsible for reviewing and signing off on timecards for department staffDeliver bi-annual performance reviews to department staffAttend regular meetings assigned by the Events ManagerThis job description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities for this job and is not intended to be an inclusive list of all job tasks and expectationsBasic Qualifications:2-4 years of event experience1-2 years of project management experienceMust be intermediate to advanced skier or snowboarderAbility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as part of regular scheduleThe employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsMust have valid US driver’s licenseMust be able to work outdoors in winter conditions for extended periods of timeKnowledge of Killington Resort and Pico Mountain with a passion for year-round outdoor recreation is a plusRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of computer programs and systems such as Microsoft Office 365 SuiteTeam player that’s dependent, reliable and creates a collaborative work environmentFollows established policies and proceduresOpen to sharing and receiving critical feedbackAttention to detail and ability to prioritize tasksAbility to think critically while problem solvingEnsures timely follow-up and completes assigned dutiesStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple groups and projects at the same timeThrives in a fast paced, dynamic environmentAble to effectively manage and communicate with staff of all levelsAdhere to Killington Hospitality standardsBe FriendlyBe HelpfulBe ConnectedBe MemorableCreate JoyEnergetic and enthusiastic about the mountain experienceIt is the policy of Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC to provide equal opportunity and employment to all staff and applicants.
