Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program - Jacksonville, FL First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us. As an ER-focused veterinarian mentee, you will benefit from the expertise of our in-house surgical specialists, a traveling internist, and an extensive, cooperative referral network. We have a well-equipped facility that includes: CT Endoscopy Ultrasound Ligasure ezyVet with Smartflo Skilled technical and customer service team Jacksonville Beach offers 22 miles of beautiful coastline with year-round opportunities for surfing, paddleboarding, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and other outdoor recreation. The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration. The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician. Program Duration/Commitment 6 month training program beginning June or July 2027 Option to re-sign for another 6-month training program or transfer to a 12 month associate role with First Coast, should an opening be available Location First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency: 301 Jacksonville Drive, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 Program Highlights Rotate with specialty services during the training program Surgical training required Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts No on-call Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors Work authorization in the United States is a requirement for the position.
