Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Ypsilanti, Michigan, near Ann Arbor Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980–$2,080 Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), 10 East Assignment Type: 13-week Registered Nurse travel contract Start Date: November 2, 2026 End Date: January 31, 2027 Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Holiday Requirement: Holiday coverage is required as scheduled, including one designated holiday grouping during the assignment. PCU Travel Nurse Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Michigan At least 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit, step-down unit, or comparable acute-care nursing experience Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification Recent experience with Epic electronic health records (EHR) Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and time-management skills Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet the assignment’s holiday coverage requirements Progressive Care Unit RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring progressive-care monitoring and intervention. Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly escalate concerns to the appropriate care team. Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with established protocols. Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, neurological condition, and other relevant clinical indicators. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care. Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care coordination activities in Epic. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning. Promote patient safety, infection prevention, quality outcomes, and a respectful care environment.
