Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days and Nights (8-hour and 12-hour shifts, occasional 4-hour shifts) | Every other weekend | Every other holiday | No call required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Manage 1–2 critically ill patients across varying populations including neuro, cardiac, cardiothoracic surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical
• Administer and titrate vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips
• Assist with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, and line placement
• Operate unit equipment including IABP, Impella, EVD, Aleris IV pumps, MOOG Feeding pumps, and Philips Patient Monitoring Systems
• Document accurately using Epic EMR ; utilize Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinet
• Call in each day prior to shift to confirm assigned critical care unit or department location; may float to intermediate ICU (up to 4:1 ratio), Broadway ICU (up to 3:1 ratio), or med/surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience in a large hospital (250+ beds) with Level 1 or Level 2 trauma designation
• Demonstrated experience titrating vasopressor drips (must be reflected on resume or skills checklist)
• Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state
• BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and support devices (IABP, Impella)
• Familiarity with AvaSure patient monitoring systems
• Experience floating across multiple critical care environments
