Job Description
Requirements
- Active nursing license in Alaska required.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
- 8 years of clinical care or nursing experience, including 3 years in chart review, risk management, or related quality service.
- Case Management certification by a recognized certifying organization (i.e., NCQA, CCMC) preferred.
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and concepts of disease.

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage patient progression of care, promoting evidence-based protocols and ensuring the appropriateness of interventions.
- Review patient records to evaluate patient progress and assess the necessity for hospitalization.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure adherence to utilization management and care management plans.
- Review new hospital admissions to assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Communicate with payers and ensure documentation supports utilization management functions.
