The Electrician Journeyman will play a crucial role in handling electrical installations and maintenance primarily on commercial and mixed-use projects. Operating within a small team, this position demands expertise in wiring, troubleshooting, and code adherence while occasionally responding to on-call or emergency situations. Daily and weekly travel between job sites is expected, requiring flexibility and strong problem-solving skills to ensure safety and efficiency in all electrical work.
Responsibilities
- Install wiring systems according to project specifications
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and components
- Perform circuit repairs and ensure compliance with electrical codes
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Adhere strictly to safety standards and practices
- Collaborate effectively within a small team setting
- Respond to on-call and emergency electrical issues as needed
- Travel to various commercial and mixed-use job sites on a regular basis
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical work
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of electrical codes and circuit testing
- Proficiency in blueprint interpretation
- Skilled in using hand and power tools
- Strong electrical safety practices
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
