Investment Banking Analyst II, Industrials

Location 1301 Avenue of the Americas, New York, New York Job Summary KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) is a leading middle‑market investment bank offering a full range of advisory and capital markets services. The Investment Banking Analyst is an integral member of deal teams, supporting the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions. Analysts are responsible for financial modeling, industry research, and the preparation of client materials. The role offers a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with significant exposure to senior bankers, clients and live transactions. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain detailed financial models to support valuation and transaction analysis. Conduct company and industry research to support business development and deal execution. Assist in the preparation of pitch books, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other client deliverables. Analyze financial statements and assess company performance and valuation metrics. Support due diligence processes and coordinate transaction execution. Collaborate with Associates, Vice Presidents and Managing Directors across industry and product teams. Attend and actively participate in in‑person team meetings, client presentations, and strategy sessions with senior bankers. Uphold firm policies and compliance standards, including confidentiality and ethical conduct. Perform other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field. 1+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related financial services role. Proficiency in Excel‑based modeling and valuation techniques. Strong analytical and research skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, high‑pressure environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ and FactSet. Preferred Qualifications Internship in investment banking or high finance. FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE) license. FINRA licenses S7, S79, S63. Licenses & Certifications FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE) (preferred) FINRA License S7 (preferred) FINRA License S79 (preferred) FINRA License S63 (preferred) Skills Excel modeling and valuation. Financial analysis and interpretation of market trends. Clear client‑ready material preparation. Verbal and written communication. Teamwork and capacity to meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet. Proven judgment, discretion and client interaction propriety. Physical Demands General office duties with prolonged sitting, frequent computer use, occasional lifting or pushing of items up to 10 lbs. Travel Occasional travel, including overnight stays. Work Location Hybrid (sales). Compensation and Benefits This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000 to $150,000 annually. Compensation also includes eligibility for incentive compensation such as production, commission and discretionary incentives.
