University of Maryland - Medicine Institute for Neuroscience Discovery (UM-MIND) Faculty Position University of Maryland School of Medicine Baltimore, Maryland The University of Maryland - Medicine Institute for Neuroscience Discovery is expanding its faculty by recruiting several tenure-track neuroscience faculty members, preferably at the Assistant Professor rank but higher ranks considered. We are interested in PhD, MD, or MD/PhD candidates whose research complements the pillars of the institute’s strengths in three areas: 1) neurodevelopment and psychiatric disorders, 2) neurotrauma and brain injury, and 3) neurodegeneration and aging. Rank and tenure status will be dependent on the candidate’s qualifications, which should include a strong record of scholarly activity and funding. New faculty will be actively mentored to achieve success in an exceptionally collaborative environment comprised of strongly productive research programs, state-of-the-art equipment, and outstanding core facilities. All institute faculty are members of the Graduate Program in Life Sciences’ interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience and will reside in a home department in the University of Maryland School of Medicine commensurate with their interests and expertise.
