Help Create Programs and Experiences That Connect Our CommunityThe Anchorage Museum is a museum of people, place, planet, and potential. Through exhibitions, education, storytelling, art, science, history, and community engagement, we create experiences that connect people to Alaska, the North, and the ideas shaping our future.As the Programs Support Specialist, you will help bring Museum programs, events, and learning experiences to life through coordination, logistics, and administrative support. Working closely with staff, instructors, and community partners, you'll help ensure programs run smoothly and create welcoming experiences for participants.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, collaboration, problem-solving, and supporting meaningful work behind the scenes.What You'll DoProgram CoordinationSupport the planning and administration of public programs, classes, camps, workshops, and eventsCoordinate registrations, participant communications, schedules, and program recordsMaintain program documentation, databases, and reporting informationHelp track timelines and support successful program deliveryEvent & Logistics SupportCoordinate materials, supplies, equipment, and room reservationsAssist with event setup, breakdown, and day-of logisticsWork with Museum departments and community partners to ensure program readinessHelp resolve logistical challenges and support smooth operationsParticipant & Community EngagementServe as a welcoming point of contact for participants, instructors, and partnersRespond to questions and provide information about Museum programsSupport participant registration and attendance trackingHelp create positive, accessible, and inclusive experiences for diverse audiencesTeam & Operational SupportCollaborate with colleagues across the Museum to support program goalsAssist with purchasing, invoices, and budget trackingSupport improvements to administrative processes and workflowsContribute to a collaborative and service-oriented team cultureWho We're Looking ForWe're seeking a highly organized and service-oriented professional who enjoys helping people and projects succeed.
