Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics

The College of Integrated Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at Rock County is seeking one or more adjunct Mathematics instructors to teach courses in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Candidates available to teach 50% FTE or more may be considered for a salaried Lecturer title. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. This will be a fixed-term appointment. Reappointment for subsequent terms is dependent upon the needs of the University, funding, staffing requirements, enrollment, and external forces. Courses to be Taught MAT 091 and MAT 095 – Elementary Algebra MAT 103 – Beginning and Intermediate Algebra MAT 108 – Quantitative Reasoning MAT 110 – College Algebra MAT 113 – Trigonometry MAT 210 – Topics in Finite Mathematics MAT 221 – Calculus and Analytic Geometry I Conditions of Appointment University of Wisconsin-Whitewater does not offer H-1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term. Key Job Responsibilities Department: CIS | College of Integrated Studies Compensation: Well-qualified candidates can expect pay of $1,667 per credit, with 15 credits equaling 1.0 Full-Time Equivalency. If a candidate is hired for more than a 50% FTE position, it will become salaried. This will be commensurate with the candidate's education, related experience, and qualifications. Required Qualifications A master's degree in mathematics A master's degree in a related field and 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics A master's degree in a related field and strong evidence of teaching mathematics Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching developmental and lower-division college mathematics or co-requisite support courses. Experience using learning management software to deliver courses. UW-Whitewater uses Canvas.
