You enjoy building rapport with guests and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.If you're looking for a role where you can make a positive impact on every guest experience and grow your hospitality skills, we'd love to meet you.What You'll DoGreet guests promptly upon seating with warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to create a memorable experienceGuide guests through the menu, answering questions about ingredients, preparation, allergens, and recommendations with confidenceTake accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system efficientlyDeliver food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation meet Trapper's standardsAnticipate guest needs throughout the meal, including refills, additional courses, and special requestsProcess payments, handle cash/card transactions, and follow all cash-handling proceduresMaintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, server stations, and side work areasCommunicate clearly with hosts, fellow servers, managers, sushi chefs, and kitchen staff regarding orders, timing, and special requestsMonitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and resolve concerns promptly or escalate to a manager when neededSupport to-go order packaging and accuracy when volume requiresFollow all company safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards, including proper chemical handling and PPE use when cleaningComplete opening, running, and closing side work as assignedDemonstrate teamwork, integrity, and respect while upholding a positive and inclusive work environmentWhat's In It for YouCompensation: $15.15 per hourMedical insurance – 80% employer paid after 60 days (with qualifying hours)401(k) with company match (eligible after 1 year of service)Voluntary dental and vision coverageEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid sick leave (per WA state/local laws)Employee meal discountsOpportunities for advancement within a growing, multi-state restaurant groupSupportive, team-oriented cultureRequirementsWhat You BringPrevious serving, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred but not requiredStrong verbal communication skills and ability to engage with guests in a friendly, professional mannerAbility to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail when taking orders, delivering food, and processing paymentsComfort learning and discussing menu items, including sushi, sashimi, and specialty rollsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsMust obtain a valid Food Handler's Permit/State Food Worker Card prior to the first day of work (per state law)Must be of legal age to serve alcohol per Washington state law (MAST permit required or obtained prior to first day if applicable)The Physical StuffStanding and walking for long periods of timeFrequent bending, reaching, and carrying traysLifting up to 25 lbs.
