Sr. Tax Accountant - Public Accounting

Location: Columbus, OH | Schedule: Full-time, on-site Overview An established public accounting firm serving small businesses, high-wealth individuals, and not-for-profits is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant. What you'll do Work directly with small business executives and their organizations on tax matters Consult on tax strategies tailored to client needs Oversee preparation and accuracy of tax returns Ensure tax payments are made accurately and on time Partner with the Managing Partner to lead and mentor junior and mid-level staff in preparing and managing returns Help clients run their organizations smoothly with minimal hassle around tax reporting and compliance Maintain significant client-facing interaction to build and manage relationships Dig into financial records to identify solutions that benefit clients Required qualifications A degree in Accounting Deep experience in Tax Accounting Experience with tax returns for individuals, small businesses, family businesses, S‑Corps, and partnerships Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Ability to analyze records and develop client solutions Proficiency with UltraTax, Quickbooks, and Excel Preferred qualifications Active CPA preferred; candidates working towards a CPA or with equivalent experience will be considered Compensation and benefits Overtime compensation: time worked beyond standard hours (37.5) can be paid as straight time or banked as PTO Why this role This role offers a collaborative, low-ego team environment with accessible, personable leadership, a strong office environment, and genuine flexibility to balance work with personal life. #J-18808-Ljbffr Software Placement Group, SPG
