Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Columbia, SC | Free Standing Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Mid-Shift (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced free-standing emergency room setting with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Manage and prioritize care across a 14-room department, including a dedicated resuscitation room
• Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as needed, including during hurricane season (June–November)
• Adhere to facility protocols, scrub color requirements (Royal Blue), and scheduling expectations including every-other-weekend coverage

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• ACLS , BLS , PALS , and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered as a standard candidate; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a free-standing or community-based emergency room environment
• Familiarity with high-acuity resuscitation scenarios and trauma response
• Flexibility with scheduling, including block schedule requests (subject to facility approval)
