Join us as a Senior Product Engineer, where you'll design, develop, and scale innovative applications that support cinematic storytelling. As a senior product engineer, you’ll help build and scale an exciting application used to manage cinematic canon for our banners and stakeholders. Reporting into the team’s product leader, you will join a small team of product engineers focused on front-end and backend development, seamless data connectivity, and thoughtful integration of this knowledge graph-based application into the ecosystem. In this role, you will flex your analytical problem-solving skills across the full product lifecycle, from rapid prototyping through operationalization at scale. You should feel comfortable partnering with Product to turn ambiguous requirements into vetted solutions, iterating quickly while exercising sound judgment about when to move fast and when precision matters. The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be key to your success. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality front-end and back-end feature development in a nimble, small-team environment embedded within the ecosystem. Partner effectively with Product and stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into vetted technical solutions, using agile & adaptive workflows that keep a small team moving from discovery through delivery. Collaborate with teams across core engineering, architecture, data, and services to design and deliver products that integrate flexibly across existing platforms. Effectively leverage the specific technologies, languages, and frameworks required to successfully build and scale this application. Iterate quickly on new ideas based on stakeholder feedback, then apply grounded engineering judgment to harden, test, and operationalize work for production use. Conduct code reviews, implement effective automated testing, maintain robust technical documentation, and help troubleshoot issues in a timely fashion to ensure confidence, stability, and long-term maintainability of deliverables. Synthesize complex subject matter into clear terms for non-technical stakeholders. A Successful Candidate Will Work extremely well with both technical and cross-functional team members by building trust and prioritizing open lines of communication in a collaborative environment. Demonstrate the proven ability to ensure the product’s technical integrity amid evolving roadmaps and internal priorities. Apply their experiences from a range of product lifecycle stages to deliver both quick prototypes (where needed) and durable, production-ready solutions at scale. Be a self-starter with the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment. Apply AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and responsibly, using them to accelerate delivery where appropriate while maintaining strong oversight, code quality, and understanding of what is being created. Exercise strong judgment in balancing speed and precision, knowing when to iterate rapidly and when to slow down for quality, integration, or long-term maintainability. Embrace opportunities to flex across areas outside of their immediate domain, including supporting other strategic initiatives for the team as a technical consultant. Have personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information. Basic Qualifications And Experience 5+ years of relevant experience with a strong emphasis on applied product engineering across product lifecycles. Robust software development foundation with comfort working across platforms, services, and integration points, not only within a single application boundary. Knowledge of GraphQL API design (gqlgen, Strawberry, etc.). Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Proven ability to independently problem-solve and bring an innovative mindset to a fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment. Experience in the following (including extensive experience in at least one of the below): Developing web applications using modern libraries and frameworks (React, Next.js, etc.) and supporting front-end feature development. Developing APIs and server-side logic using Go, Python, and/or Node Experience creating or maintaining ETL pipelines Ability to own work across the entire software development lifecycle, from initial prototype to operationalization, testing coverage, documentation, and delivery Applied experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) with sound engineering judgment, quality oversight, and accountability Preferred Qualifications Database query design (Cypher, SPARQL, SQL, SurQL, Vector, etc.). Experience working with graph databases (Neo4j, Stardog, Neptune, etc.). API design and integration patterns across distributed systems or platform ecosystems. Experience provisioning and/or managing infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or GCP. Specialization or proven interest in AI/ML, generative AI, or related emerging technologies, including practical, responsible use in software delivery workflows. Experience in the media and/or entertainment technology industry. Experience developing and delivering robust consumer-facing products.
