Registered Nurse - PICU

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse for a floating position across multiple pediatric units. The role involves providing high-level patient care in dynamic settings requiring specialized pediatric experience.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in PICU, NICU, peds med-surg, and other pediatric units.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient progress, interpret vital signs, and adjust treatments accordingly.
  
  
• 
  Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards, including certification requirements.
  
  
• 
  Document all patient interactions and clinical interventions accurately in electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Float within scope of practice to various pediatric units as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold at least 2 years of PICU experience with prior NICU/PICU floating experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Possess valid state Registered Nurse license or pending license verified before start.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS; Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification highly preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EHR system.
  
  
• 
  Be comfortable with pediatric clinical settings in critical care environments.
