Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a rehabilitation hospital night shift position requiring an active Michigan RRT license and 1+ years of experience.

Details

• Rehabilitation hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Provides respiratory care including bronchodilator therapy, ventilator care, pulmonary hygiene, and airway management
• Performs tracheostomy changes, sleep disorder screenings, BiPAP/CPAP therapy, and oxygen/aerosol therapy
• Conducts diagnostic procedures including EKGs, blood gas analysis, TCOM monitoring, and overnight pulse ox studies
• Assists with discharge education and coordination
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract length

Requirements

• Must be an RRT; CRT candidates will not be considered
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• NBRC national certification required
• Michigan state RRT license required in hand prior to consideration (license required if applicable)
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred

Additional Information

• Works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to develop patient-centered care plans
• Collaborates with attending physicians and other disciplines to align treatment priorities
