Registered Nurse - Labor and DeliveryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-risk obstetrics and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This position involves providing care in a variety of settings including postpartum, antepartum, and community care clinics.ResponsibilitiesFunction as a Baby Nurse during deliveries, providing care to the newborn until transfer to postpartum.Circulate in the operating room and assist with high-risk deliveries.Provide newborn care, including eye care, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments.Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support patient care needs.Adhere to AWHONN guidelines for staffing and patient management.Manage the care of midwifery clients and adult recovery services involved in substance recovery.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.Experience with high-risk obstetrics is required.First-time travelers are welcome to apply.Must possess a valid compact nursing license.Certification Requirements: Required: BLS, NRPPreferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN IntermediateWork ScheduleDay shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30).Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis.Unit InformationHigh-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit with an average daily census of 15 patients and 500-600 deliveries per month.Equipped with 4 operating rooms and 31 beds.May require floating to sister units that provide Mother/Baby care.If you possess the qualifications and experience for this dynamic role, we encourage you to apply and join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals.Client Details State WA
