Civil Engineer (Structural)

Duties
Lead the DSPC team in the development of designs and project execution documents (plans and specifications) for USACE Mega Projects.
Perform field reconnaissance and site investigations in connection with project development to determine the accuracy of field surveys and the need for or scope of additional survey requests.
Ensure that all design deliverables include the authorized project scope (function, performance, aesthetics, and sustainability) and address compliance with all applicable code, policy, and criteria.
Check and reviews work of lower graded engineers, technicians, and other employees (GS-14 and below) engaged in the design and development of the projects so that steady progress is made toward completion.
Perform team Technical Leader (TL) responsibilities, interprets and disseminates policies, regulations, and standards, and serves as a lead engineer for Dam and Levee Safety Modification projects.
Conduct advanced engineering analyses and modeling to support project design and decision-making, utilizes specialized knowledge and software tools, develops engineering models and tools for risk and reliability analyses.
