In this role you will lead key capture communications for priority business initiatives, leading the communications strategy across paid, earned, shared and owned and measuring results.This position can be located in Baltimore, MD, McLean, VA, Huntsville, AL or Redondo Beach, CA. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building and executing communications campaigns, translating complex subjects into compelling content, and cultivating relationships with stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional communications teams and business leaders to create strategic, omni-channel communications that tell our story to key audiences. The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of the layered missile defense portfolio and environment.In this role, the selected candidate will: Work in partnership with the Communications Director to evolve and execute a comprehensive communications strategy to drive company reputation, brand awareness and stakeholder engagementLead priority capture communications focused on strategic business priorities across the space portfolio and enterprise portfolioElevate company story by supporting executive thought leadership on important next generation technologies and layered missile defense capabilitiesLead and mentor a team of dedicated communications professionals to help them achieve success in their roles; work with individual team members to support their professional development and goals; be an advocate for the communications team, and for cutting-edge resourcesOversee the development and execution of omni-channel, integrated communications plans to achieve business and communication goalsLead, prepare and position subject matter experts for strategic communications opportunities across channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder engagement.Prepare and share metrics on communications efforts and leverage those results to evolve strategies and approaches to achieve business objectivesPartner with functional colleagues to develop communications materials, including collateral, videos, speeches, presentations, media engagements and moreSkills for Success:Experience leading a teamProven experience in developing and executing strategic communications plans that advance business objectives and enhance thought leadershipAptitude for identifying customer trends and translating them into actionable business strategies and thought leadership positioningExceptional written and verbal skills with proficiency in writing, editing and speechwriting. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
