About the Role

The Senior Manager, Operations owns the NuvemRx program for an assigned customer. This is a heavily
customer-facing role, and the person in it carries the client-facing title of Associate Director of Operations. You
are the customer's primary NuvemRx contact and the person accountable for the partnership's results, and you
bring a patient-first mentality to operations.

This is a local role based in the greater Philadelphia area. You will live in the market, work on-site every week, and, in most cases, work out of the customer's location alongside their leadership team.


You own the program end-to-end: 340B optimization and program performance, customer engagement, and building pharmacy teams that run well without daily oversight. Pharmacy Managers across the assigned sites report directly to this role.

The work is a mix of planned initiatives and unplanned demand. In a given week you may be leading a capture-improvement project, launching a new service line, or turning around an ad-hoc customer request the same day.

This role reports to the Regional Director of Operations and partners closely with Customer Success, Clinical, Compliance, and Human Resources.

What You'll Do

Customer Engagement & Program Ownership

• Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for customer leadership, including the C-suite, pharmacy leadership, and clinical stakeholders.
• Office on site at the customer location and maintain a consistent weekly presence with their leadership and pharmacy teams.
• Own overall program health, including performance against contractual commitments, issue resolution, and escalation management.
• Respond to ad-hoc customer requests with urgency and follow-through, setting clear expectations on what will happen and by when, and then delivering.
• Lead recurring business reviews, presenting performance results, gaps, and corrective action plans.
• Identify and lead growth and improvement initiatives within the partnership, from scoping through execution to measured result.
• Flag emerging customer needs early and come to the table with proposed solutions.

340B & Program Optimization

• Own 340B program performance for the account, including prescription capture, contract pharmacy configuration, eligibility logic, and referral capture opportunities.
• Analyze program data to find unrealized savings, then build and execute the plan to capture it in partnership with the customer.
• Partner with the customer's providers and clinics to strengthen referral pathways and prescription routing to NuvemRx-managed pharmacies.
• Monitor formulary, payer, and contract dynamics affecting program economics, and adjust the operating plan accordingly.

Building High-Performing Pharmacy Teams

• Directly manage, coach, and develop Pharmacy Managers, setting clear expectations, priorities, and accountability.
• Build and retain strong pharmacist and technician teams through hiring, onboarding, development, and succession planning.
• Hold sites accountable to their operating metrics, keep staff engaged, and surface problems early.
• Partner with Human Resources on performance management, employee relations, corrective action, and workforce planning.

Site Operations & Compliance

• Own operational performance across assigned pharmacies, including workflow, staffing, scheduling, inventory, dispensing accuracy, turnaround time, and patient experience.
• Lead new pharmacy openings, conversions, system implementations, and service line expansions in the market.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy law, DEA and Board of Pharmacy requirements, USP standards, payer requirements, and NuvemRx policy.
• Maintain continuous audit readiness, lead site audits and quarterly reviews, own remediation of findings, and escalate risk promptly.

What You Bring

Core Capabilities

• 7+ years of pharmacy operations experience, including 3+ years leading pharmacy teams with direct people-management responsibility.
• Active pharmacist license (PharmD or RPh) in good standing, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states as required.
• Proven success as the primary relationship owner for a customer or major account, including work with senior and executive stakeholders.
• Extensive, hands-on 340B program expertise with demonstrated experience owning 340B program performance end-to-end, including contract pharmacy operations, prescription capture optimization, eligibility logic, split-billing, TPA platform management, and program integrity. Candidates without substantive 340B experience will not be considered.
• A track record of responsiveness and follow-through in an environment with frequent unplanned requests.
• Demonstrated ability to improve operational and financial performance across more than one pharmacy location.
• Working knowledge of retail pharmacy operations, third-party billing, prior authorization, and payer requirements.
• Ability to read operational and financial data, identify the drivers behind a trend, and act on them.
• Residence in or relocation to the assigned market, with the expectation of working on site at customer and pharmacy locations on a weekly basis.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting FQHCs, community health centers, or other 340B covered entities - strongly preferred given the nature of this customer.
• 340B ACE certification - strongly preferred.
• Experience standing up new pharmacy sites or converting existing operations to a new operating model.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, dispensing technology, and operational reporting tools.

Compensation

The expected base salary for this role is $150,000 - $170,000. This range may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
