Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
• Provides age-appropriate care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
• Performs general and unit-specific clinical skills, demonstrating clinical competency and sound nursing judgment
• Manages supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel across departments
• Adheres to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies including confidentiality, advance directives, and ADA compliance

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience as an RN
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Labor and Delivery or Mother/Baby unit
• Experience with post-operative gynecology patient care
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient and family education
