RN PreOPThe Woodlands, Texas USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is seeking a motivated Full-Time RN PreOp to join our team. We have 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, GI, ENT, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.Job Summary: The PreOp RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. We respect differences and nurture the contributions of each individual while leveraging diversity to better serve our patients and physicians.Required Skills:Qualifications :Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the stateMust be a graduate of an accredited school of nursingMust have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACUPrevious experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferredMust have current BLS, ALS and PALSMust possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstanding of aseptic techniques and their implementationAbility to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
