Touchstone's Pathways to Practice Clinical Internship Program
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth and families? Our Clinical Services team is offering an exciting internship opportunity for graduate students seeking hands-on experience in therapeutic services and behavioral health support.

The goal of the Pathways to Practice Clinical Internship Program is to provide emerging clinicians with a robust foundation of support, training, and supervision as they begin their professional journey. Through meaningful engagement with youth and families, interns will gain hands-on experience in therapeutic service coordination, school-based collaboration, and trauma-informed care. Our program is designed to inspire and empower future clinicians by fostering clinical confidence, ethical practice, and a deep commitment to youth mental health and well-being.

INTERNSHIP DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Supporting the coordination and delivery of therapy services for assigned youth
• Carry a small caseload to practice and strengthen therapeutic skills in individual and family therapy settings.
• Observe and/or co-facilitate group therapy sessions to gain experience in group dynamics and group facilitation.
• Complete intake assessments and annual evaluations to develop skills in clinical interviewing, information gathering, documentation, and diagnosis.
• Communicating with families, schools, and internal teams to facilitate engagement and service follow-through.
• Participating in or facilitating Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings

WHAT WE OFFER:

• A dedicated program to provide robust structure, training, supervision and direct support to interns to meet master's program requirements
• Supervised clinical experience and mentorship from experienced professionals. One hour of supervision provided each week by the Clinical Engagement Supervisor to provide guidance and support to navigate.
• Training opportunities in evidence based or best practice modalities including, but not limited to, trauma informed cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)
• Exposure to multidisciplinary collaboration, assessment and diagnostic implementation, and case management practices.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Organized, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Committed to supporting youth and families with empathy and professionalism.
• Interested in gaining real-world experience in clinical settings.
