Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed external beam radiation therapy treatments using a Varian TrueBeam system, ensuring accurate patient setup and treatment verification.
- Utilize IX and ARIA software for treatment planning, record-and-verify processes, and treatment documentation in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with the oncology team (physicians, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists) to implement treatment plans and optimize patient care.
- Perform patient positioning, immobilization, image guidance, and safety checks; monitor patient status during treatment and respond to concerns.
- Maintain precise treatment records, communicate any deviations or adverse events to the care team, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Assist with general clinical duties as assigned and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.

Requirements
- Active New York license in hand
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- At least one year of radiation therapy experience
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology; ability to interpret basic imaging and treatment-related documentation
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in 8-hour day shifts (Day Shift)
