Flatbed Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload landscaping materials, following proper handling procedures to prevent damage or injury.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the flatbed truck to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, taking into account traffic and road conditions to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage and fuel usage logs.
• Communicate promptly with dispatchers regarding any delays, issues, or changes during transport.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and transportation regulations at all times.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service during each delivery, serving as a positive representative of the company.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with proven experience operating flatbed trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
• Experience with safe loading and unloading of cargo.
• Familiarity with operating flatbed trucks; experience with refrigerated trailers, roll-off trucks, or tankers is a plus.
• Strong understanding of commercial driving traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and customers.
• Experience in route driving or delivery driving is desirable.
