Located in Cleveland, OH
Pay: $75k to 95k with a 15% bonus eligibility
Job Full Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in quality-related programs such as lean, ISO, six sigma, etc., minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in Chemical manufacturing, sealants, liquid roofing applications, lab testing – titrations, and viscosity. And experience with ULs and FM. SAP experience with the quality process and maintaining metrics.
Shift
This is a full-time 1st Shift role 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., but will be required to oversee operations for all 3 shifts and be on call 24/7.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all plant quality control processes and functions
- Perform and manage quality testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
- Conduct routine audits of production processes and laboratory procedures
- Identify, track, and reduce manufacturing waste
- Investigate customer complaints and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Ensure non-conforming materials are properly identified and addressed
- Lead and maintain ISO quality systems and compliance initiatives
- Manage laboratory operations, equipment, and staff
- Collaborate with purchasing on vendor quality and supplier qualification
- Develop inspection plans, quality standards, and training programs
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and reporting systems
- Lead product compliance and certification activities
- Train, coach, and manage quality team members
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development
- Minimum 3+ years of quality control experience in manufacturing
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of ISO, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar quality systems
- Experience with quality audits, testing procedures, and documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively at all levels
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field preferred
