Quality Assurance Coordinator II/III

Quality Assurance Coordinator II/III First Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:00/3:30 PM Salary based on experience This is an active position with 100% of time being on the plant floor (standing, walking, climbing stairs). The role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals interested in starting a career in food quality assurance with plenty of room for growth and development. Primary Responsibilities Conduct in‑depth quality checks on products, packaging, and equipment to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards (HACCP, USDA). Perform routine product testing, including but not limited to temperature, weight, pH, and other quality measures, accurately documenting results. Support quality audits, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions to address any deviations or non‑compliance issues. Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and suggest changes to enhance product quality and consistency. Maintain and update quality assurance records and logs, ensuring documentation aligns with regulatory and internal standards. Provide guidance to team members and participate in training on quality standards and procedures. Key Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or a related field is a plus. 1‑2 years of experience in a quality assurance or food production environment preferred. Ability to work 100% on the plant floor, routinely lifting 30 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Basic knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and quality control methodologies. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
