Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Experienced RN with expertise in emergency room protocols, patient assessment, and acute care procedures. Provides high-quality, evidence-based nursing care while ensuring patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon arrival and continuously monitor their condition to identify changes.
• Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, and wound dressings accurately.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication usage, and post-discharge care.
• Recognize and respond promptly to patient deterioration, escalating concerns as necessary.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety behaviors.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CA RN license with current Nursys verification within the past 2 weeks.
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications with valid expiration dates.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in emergency room or acute care settings.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent clinical judgment and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
