Position Overview:

This role involves working on tasks typically scheduled for Fridays through Sundays, from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. It requires availability for on-call and holiday shifts, with an expectation of 2-3 on-call shifts per month.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and verify exams before initiating scans, strictly adhering to department policies and procedures for safety.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and assist them in feeling comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing.
• Position patients properly, including lifting or moving those with limited mobility, while ensuring safe patient handling practices.
• Maintain accurate records by properly documenting all necessary components within the EPIC system, including identifying and sending images to the PACS system correctly.
• Ensure a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements:

• Must have injection therapy certification on license if currently registered in NYS.
• Completion of formal training at an approved School of Radiologic Technology, maintaining Certification through the ARRT.
• NYS licensure required before starting the position.
• Minimum of two years of experience.
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma Centers.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Experience with telemetry is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Injection certification during the orientation process is preferred.
• Familiarity with Philips and Siemens equipment is an advantage.
