Description: Located in a beautiful region, this facility has a rich history of innovative medical care. It is comprised of a 151-bed hospital, emergency department, and medical offices with centers of excellence in specialty care. The job involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff is required. Coordination of care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment is essential. Candidates should collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues is part of the role. The nurse will develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implementing the care plan and coordinating care delivery is necessary. Employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment is expected. Evaluating progress toward attaining outcomes is crucial. Identifying outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation is part of the responsibilities. Collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe and caring environment is essential. Providing learning opportunities for patients and team members is part of the job. Direct health information communication to patients and families is required. Participation in discharge planning is necessary to ensure continuity of care. Delegating appropriately and coordinating duties of healthcare team members is expected.
