Veterinary Technician Position

The Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty in Bowie, MD is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our ICU team on the overnight shift! Sign-on bonus offered for qualified Registered Veterinary Technicians! Compensation: $26- 30+/hr (based on experience & skill set) PLUS a 10% overnight shift differential Schedule:

3/12- Hour Shifts per week

Overnights

Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call as needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT preferred but not required)

Demonstrated excellence in nursing care and critical thinking skills

Strong desire to learn and grow in the role.

Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proficient in calculating doses and administering intravenous drugs and fluids

Capable of monitoring patients under anesthesia (ventilator experience is a plus!)

Skilled in obtaining and analyzing laboratory samples (blood, urine, and stool)

Experience in catheter placement

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation is based on experience and skill level ranging from $26.00 - 30.00+/ hr
