Activity Coordinator - Memory Care

Position Activity Coordinator, Memory Care Pay Range $20.75 - $22.25 Job Summary The Activity Coordinator assists with organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions for memory care residents to enhance their independence and quality of life in accordance with the company’s mission and values. Responsibilities Assist the Memory Care Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the secured area. Promote resident participation through regularly scheduled high‑quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes and other activities. Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, visitors, co‑workers, and supervisors. Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards. Able to drive community vehicles. Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co‑workers and other departments. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors. Requires current Class C driver license; prefer Class B for transporting residents. Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.). Must comply with health and safety requirements, including vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and wearing face coverings and other PPE to prevent the spread of COVID‑19 or other communicable diseases as per regulatory guidelines.
