Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in Apple Valley, California. Position Details Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 07/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 40 Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Location: Facility in Apple Valley, California Required Qualifications Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology Experience in speech language pathology (new grads are welcome) Other certifications or licenses may be required Summary The Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages. The SLP develops individualized treatment plans, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and facilitates improved communication outcomes and quality of life. Essential Work Functions Utilize standardized assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings and evidence‑based practices. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust plans, and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing practices. Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams. Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control protocols. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and PC skills. Physical abilities: remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, bend. Interpersonal skills: work effectively with professional and ancillary staff. Technical/Motor skills: fine manipulation, assist with procedures, use equipment. Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with supervision or independently. Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
