AUTO SERVICE MANAGER six figure +job
Location: Newburgh NY 

We have been hired by a dynamic, well-established automotive dealership in the Tri-State area ...they are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead the daily operations of their service department. The ideal candidate has dealership experience , preferably with Chevrolet, General Motors, or Buick , BUT WILL CONSIDER OTHER BRANDS...SHOULD BE a hands-on leader who drives efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team development.

Job Type: Full-time | In-person

Schedule:
Day shift (7:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
Monday to Friday, occasional weekends as needed
10-hour shift

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of automotive service management experience in a dealership.
• Strong process focus, communication, and customer rapport skills.
• Proven leadership and team management ability.
• Solid understanding of automotive service, repair, diagnostics, and warranty processes.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems and related software.
• Comfortable with numbers, data-driven decisions, and process ownership.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the service department to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
• Lead, train, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
• Monitor department performance, including productivity, profitability, and customer service metrics; implement improvements.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation for optimal operations.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty procedures, and safety regulations.
• Manage department financials—budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
