Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years Nursing experience At least 6 months to 1 year in a Psych/Behavioral health setting License: Permanent RN license required Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: Solid clinical judgment Assessment skills Delegation abilities Leadership qualities Description: Float pool nurses should have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Candidates should have at least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a Psych/Behavioral health setting. Float nurses will be more experienced nurses working on various inpatient units. Candidates will work with children, adolescents, and adult age groups. Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills are necessary. Candidates should possess delegation and leadership qualities. RNs may be required to work as the charge RN during a shift, without additional pay for those hours. Floating to meet facility needs will be expected. Candidates must not test positive for marijuana on drug screens, as this is not accepted. All candidates are expected to float to any age population when scheduling requires. RTO must be submitted with the initial profile and can only be worked out directly with the facility after submission. All candidates must pass the drug screen on the first attempt to proceed with onboarding.
