The VicePresident of Operations (VP of Ops) is a senior operations leader responsiblefor overseeing project execution and operational performance within an assignedBusiness Unit. Reporting to and partnering closely with the Business UnitLeader (BUL), this role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, withinbudget, and in alignment to the highest quality standards while drivingoperational efficiency and profitability. The VP of Ops will provide leadershipacross multiple projects, focusing on operational consistency, risk management,team development, and client satisfaction.
The VPof Ops supports Business Unit profitability and growth while aligning executionwith enterprise-wide processes and best practices.

- Overseeproject execution from preconstruction through closeout for projects, ensuringcompliance with contractual requirements and company standards.
- Monitorproject budgets, cost controls, and resource utilization within the BusinessUnit to achieve revenue and fee objectives.
- Reviewand analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) (schedule adherence, safetymetrics, profitability, client satisfaction) and implement corrective actionsas needed.
- Collaboratewith Business Unit Leader and Preconstruction team to forecast project workloadand resource needs.
- Supportoperational strategies that enable scalable growth for the Business Unit, whilealigning with enterprise processes and best practices.
- Identifyand implement process improvements, risk mitigation strategies, and technologysolutions to enhance project delivery and operational consistency within theBusiness Unit.
- Participatein Business Unit leadership meetings and contribute to broader operationalinitiatives in coordination with corporate leadership.
- Lead,mentor, and retain operational talent within the Business Unit, including ProjectExecutives, Superintendents, and Project Managers.
- Establishclear performance expectations and career development pathways for BusinessUnit project teams.
- Promoteand foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and excellence.
- Maintainstrong relationships with clients, trade partners, and design professionalsassociated with the Business Unit's portfolio.
- Developthe strategy and lead the dispute resolution process for issue resolution withOwners and trade partners
- Resolveescalated project issues and ensure client satisfaction and successful outcomes.
- Representthe company in industry associations and networking events.
- Championa zero-incident safety culture across all projects within the Business Unit.
- Ensurecompliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and contractualobligations.
- At least ten (10) years of experience incommercial construction, including a minimum of five (5) years in seniorproject management or operational leadership roles.
- Proven ability to scale operational teams,systems, and processes to support organizational growth.
- Demonstrated success leading and developingmulti-level project teams through clear expectations, coaching, accountability,and consistent oversight across multiple projects.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholdermanagement skills, with a record of delivering repeat business and high clientsatisfaction.
- Track record of operational and project deliveryexcellence, including schedule performance, quality execution, financialoutcomes, and safety results.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, andstrategic decision-making abilities.
- Ability to cultivate a high-performance culturefocused on accountability, safety, continuous improvement, and operationalexcellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture,or related field.
- Experience leadingwork in one or more key market sectors
