Senior Staff OT (full-time) Jefferson Moss-Magee Philadelphia Job Details The Senior Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of all patients referred for their services. The OT is an integral healthcare provider who assists patients in progressing to their highest level of function. The Senior Therapist upholds the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson Health and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care. Essential Functions Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and staff consistent with Jefferson's values. Provides therapy evaluations, treatment planning, interventions, and discharge planning for a full caseload in various settings such as acute care, skilled nursing facilities, acute rehab, and outpatient care. Participates in student education (Part-Time ICE, OT Level I, or Full-Time students). Assesses, synthesizes, and applies current literature to clinical practice. Participates in education and teaching appropriate to a novice clinician. Plans, organizes, and delivers treatment programs to aid recovery and rehabilitation. Utilizes tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and families. Documents clients' health progress, including treatments, evaluations, and discharge summaries. Assists with staff orientation, mentorship, and competency assessments. Supports program development and performance improvement activities with managerial approval. Completes ongoing education, teaching, and professional activities. Supports clinical and departmental operations. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Note: This appears inconsistent with the occupational therapist role and may need correction). Minimum of 5 years of current clinical practice. Valid PA state license in Occupational Therapy. Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
